So... She is Finally Here!!!!!
We started out this morning hopeful that we would be having this baby today,
We Headed into the doctor where we had a c-section,
They did a test with the c-section called a Bio-Physical profile, they score you on 8 points,
it scores you on the amount of fluid around the baby,
whether or not she is practicing breathing,
whether or not she has a heartbeat,
and she has to do four major movements in a half hour.
well... She only got a 2 out of 8, and failed the profile.
So we next talked to the doctor, Dr. Cly, and without even checking Kechia himself
he told us we were going to be having this baby today.
He wanted us to head straight into the hospital.
Basically "Do not pass go, do not collect $200".
So we went into the hospital and got Kechia all hooked up the the monitors.
The nurses started to induce labor and after the first couple contractions
they noticed that the baby was not responding well to the contractions.
So they contacted Dr. Cly and he said that we needed to have a c-section.
so I got all dressed in scrubs
and we got ready to head into the Operating Room.

As we headed into the operating room Kechia got to go on in
and i had to wait in the recovery room
until they got her local anesthetic done.
Once they finished with that one of the nurses came and got me
and I went into the operating room to be with Kechia.
The Doctors had Kechia all covered up and she was behind a curtain
blocking her view from the c-section.
when I got in there I went up and sat by her head
where I couldn't see the c-section either.
I knew about myself that I wouldn't be able to bare to see
Kechia get cut into, regardless of whether it hurt her.
I knew if i saw that I would probably pass out.
It is one thing to see a stranger have a c-section
a whole different thing to see it on someone you love.

Kechia felt a lot of pressure when they were bringing Kourtnee out,
not any pain just a lot of pressure.
The doctors said that Kourtnee was in there so tight
that they had trouble getting her out!
They got Kourtnee out of Mommy and took her over to get checked out,
And I headed over to take pictures.
Kourtnee started crying right away and Mommy started to weep with Joy!

The first picture of Baby Kourtnee!!!
I got to hold Kourtnee first and carry her from the delivery room
to the recovery room.
and once we got into the recovery room Mommy got to hold her.
Kourtnee latched right on when she got the chance to breastfeed
and acted like she knew just what she was doing.
Auntie Jenny arrived right after the baby was born
and got to spend some time with Kechia and Kourtnee
While they spent their time together I was going about calling
family and friends and letting them know she was born.
In the Evening, Grandpa and Grandma Dawson stopped in
and visited with us and met their newest grand baby
and our pastor and his wife came by and got to visit with us.
